Mika puts an AI agent on your Android phone, and Unslop fixes the AI look

Two free projects are trending on GitHub. Mika is an on-device AI agent for Android: it operates apps and the web to get things done for you. It got 5,805 stars in its first days. It is for curious Android users who like to test new things.

Unslop is a Claude skill, a small add-on that teaches Claude a task. It turns 'vibecoded' interfaces, the generic look of apps built quickly with AI, into something that looks designed. It got 6,783 stars. Small business owners and hobby coders could use it.

Both are early projects, not polished products. And an agent that taps through your apps can also tap the wrong thing.

Why it matters

Agents are moving into the phone in your pocket, next to your messages, photos and bank apps. Try Mika on a spare phone first, with as few permissions as possible. My thumbs are happy; my banking app is a little nervous.
